Red Beach
Historically, Red Beach is known as the site where American marines first landed in Da Nang during the war. Called Red Beach because of the rich colours reflected over the water during dawn and sunset, the beach remains clean and beautiful to this day.
You’d never guess there was a military presence here. It’s a worthwhile visit for keen swimmers.
Red Beach runs alongside the main Danang coastal road, but is a haven of quiet and solitude. A place to really get away from it all and take it easy as you listen to the slap of the waves on the beach. You can join local people digging into the sand in search of seafood such as crabs and shellfish.
