Thai House Cooking Experience

The city tour takes you through some of the most interesting parts of Bangkok, including stops at the Temple of the Reclining Buddha (Wat Pho), famous as the oldest and largest temple in Bangkok; the Temple of the Golden Buddha (Wat Trimit), the home of a 5.5 ton Buddha image, found when the port of Bangkok was being expanded and dating back more than 200 years. Visit to the Grand Palace, Coronation Hall and the holiest of all Thai temples “The Emerald Buddha Temple” (Wat Phra Kaew) where the replica of Angkor Wat and the late Ayutthaya-style murals on the surrounding walls illustrate scenes from the Ramayana are included in the temple’s compound.

Late in the afternoon, you will drive to the Thai House in Nonthaburi, which is a homestay in a beautiful, traditional Thai-style, golden teakwood house. Although located just 22 kilometers from Bangkok, it feels worlds away from the busy city. 

On arrival at the Thai House, you will receive a welcome drink. The rest of the day is free at leisure.

After breakfast at the house, visit open-air market to buy ingredients in the early morning for beginning cooking lessons with English speaking chef

After breakfast, you will take a long-tail boat through the klongs and drop off at Ratchawong pier to start a walk through the Chinatown area. Visit Talad Kao (Old Market), gold shops, pass the town where you can see the daily life of the Chinese families. Then drop by Pahurat Market to see the colorful textiles then continue to Old Thieves market. Chinese lunch (dim sum) at a local restaurant is provided.

After lunch, visit the Bangkok Folk Museum to see how people of Bangkok lived in the early part of the last century. Afterwards, transfer back to the Thai House and the rest of the day free at own leisure.

Free at leisure until transferring to Bangkok airport for your onward flight. End of services.
