Mai Chau Hiking Trip
Experience walking tour in rural Vietnam and enjoy homestay with white Thai host family in Mai Chau Valley on a 2 day tour in the northwest Vietnam.
Visit the highlands of Vietnam's Mai Chau region and see the natural beauty of jungle-clad limestone mountains, patchwork quilts of green rice fields, tea plantations and waterfalls all dotted along the landscape. The region is also home to ethnic minorities each with their own unique culture and beliefs.
- Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau (L, D)
Our guide and driver will come to meet you at your hotel in Hanoi around 7:00am and transfer to Hoa Binh, then Mai Chau valley. After about a 3,5 hour drive, you will arrive Mai Chau. After llunch in a white Thai family in Lac village, you will hike to explore some with Thai Village near by including Pom coong, Nhot and Na Phon village. Tonight , after dinner, you will see the Traditional Dance of the White Thai people. You may want to join them for the dance. Overnight in house on stilts in Lac village
Lac Village Homestay
- Day 2: Pom Coong village – Hanoi (B, L)
After breakfast, you will take a walk to Mai Chau market where you can see what people are selling variety of stuffs for their daily life. Then you will visit Van village by walking through the rice paddy fields. Back to Lac village for lunch before heading back to Hanoi. Tour ends at your hotel around 5:00pm
