Cao Dai - Cu Chi
A day trip from Ho Chi Minh City to colorful noon ceremony of Cao Dai Temple and incredible Cu Chi Tunnels makes the most of your short breaks in Vietnam.
Cao Dai uses ethical precepts from Confucianism, occult practices from Taoism, theories of Karma and Rebirth from Buddhism, and a hierarchical organization (including a Pope) from Christianity.
The Cu Chi tunnels were dug with simple tools and bare hands during the French occupation in the 1940s, and further expanded during the Vietnam War in the 1960s to provide refuge and a defensive advantage over the American soldiers.
